ADAM Mann took the top two prizes at Evesham United’s end-of-season presentations but goalkeeper Kevin Sawyer still stole the show.

Sawyer, who appeared in every league fixture this season, will hang up his gloves once the Robins complete their campaign and was awarded a silver salver in recognition of his achievements with the club and across a 20-year career.

The revered former Salisbury and Gloucester City custodian has also been granted a testimonial by United with the current team set to take on a side made up of club legends at the Jubilee Stadium on Saturday, June 9.

The annual awards went the way of Evesham’s talisman at the other end of the pitch with Mann’s 24 goals in all competitions enough to win the golden boot and supporters’ player of the season.

There was a jubilant atmosphere in the clubhouse on the back of the 1-0 win over AFC Totton that secured a Southern League West play-off place and home advantage for tomorrow’s semi-final with Swindon Supermarine (7.45).

The winners play Wimborne Town away or Didcot Town at home on Bank Holiday Monday, May 7.
