EVESHAM United striker Lance Smith has agreed a move to promoted Hereford FC for the 2017-18 season.

The 25-year-old netted 26 Southern League Division One South and West goals in 30 games this term and turned down moves to Hednesford Town and Redditch United during the campaign.

Hereford boss Peter Beadle said: “Lance gives us something different to what we have. He’s got a good record and he’s keen to take the opportunity.”

Smith, known as a strong, hard-working forward with an eye for goal, joined the Robins from Badsey Rangers in September 2013.

He said: "I just want to say a massive thank you to all (Evesham) staff, players and supporters over the last three years.

"Being a part of my home club has been something special.

"It is such a great club and I hope they have every success in the future.

"The fans are some of the best I've seen and I can't thank them enough.

"I'm sure I will be be back. Good luck and thank you."

Ryan Green, Rob Purdie, Mike McGrath, Max Harris, Harry Franklin, Rory Huntbach, John Mills, Jamie Edge, Alex Harris, Martin Horsell and Calvin Dinsley have agreed new terms with Hereford for the 2017-2018 season.

Bradley Williams has been invited back for pre-season training with the Southern League Premier Division club.

Pablo Haysham, Mike Symons and Mark Preece are considering offers from the Edgar Street outfit.

Tristan Plummer is weighing up a number of options and Jamie Molyneux is yet to be spoken to as he is on holiday.

Club captain Joel Edwards, Jake Sinclair, Clayton Fortune and Ollie Barnes have been released.
