LITTLETON slipped to their second Midland League Division One home defeat in four days when Heath Hayes registered a 1-0 victory at Five Acres.

It took the team from Cannock just two minutes to open the scoring when the home defence failed to clear their lines allowing Luke Delaney to head home from close range.

Both teams had goalbound efforts cleared off the line and the visitors should have increased their lead only for Kyle Minto to blaze over an open goal following a fine save from Conor McCarthy.

The hosts should have equalised in the last few minutes when both Kyonn Evans and Sean Brain squandered good chances.

Littleton previously suffered a 3-1 reversal against Nuneaton Griff when Dan Stokes scored.

They host Atherstone Town today (3pm) and visit Coventry Copswood on Saturday (3pm) before entertaining Studley in the Worcester Royal Infirmary Cup semi-final on Wednesday, April 26 (7.45pm).
