MANAGER Paul Collicutt wants a bumper Jubilee Stadium crowd for award-winning Evesham United’s crunch clash with play-off rivals Mangotsfield United tomorrow (3pm).

Fifth-placed Evesham are four points clear of the Bristol side who closed the gap with a 1-0 win at Shortwood United in midweek.

Collicutt says his side will be gunning for three points in a bid to all but cement their place in the top five with three games left afterwards.

But he insists the home support will play an important factor in the outcome of the hotly-anticipated Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West fixture.

The Robins won the division's team-of-the-month award for March after taking 13 points out of a possible 15.

“It is a six-pointer,” Collicutt said. “If they win they will go one behind us but if we win we will go three further away.

“It’s a big game so it would be good to see the Evesham public get behind us and turn out in numbers.

“It is probably going to be a high-scoring game but there’s a lot riding on it and we know if we don’t get a positive result it puts more pressure on the next game.

“The lads are looking forward to it and just need to make sure they are as positive as they can be.”

Top scorer Lance Smith and versatile attacker Bradley Gray remain sidelined with ankle injuries but Collicutt is considering making changes to the side who lost 2-1 at Tiverton Town last Saturday.

“I am seriously thinking of making changes after the defeat so one or two lads could be starting who haven’t been in the team,” he added.
