STRIKER Ashley Edenborough has rejoined play-off chasing Evesham United for their trip to Larkhall Athletic in Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West tomorrow (3pm).

Top-scorer Lance Smith starts a three-match suspension and Edenborough will provide much-needed firepower for the fifth-placed Robins.

Smith was red-carded in Evesham’s 2-1 home defeat to Slimbridge last weekend which extended their winless streak to five matches.

Edenborough has been playing with Highworth Town in the Hellenic League Premier Division.

The marksman left the Robins in August 2015 to link up with Swindon Supermarine after hitting 18 goals in 44 matches.

“Ashley said he would help us out if we were struggling. We have spoken to him and he will be in the squad for the trip to Larkhall,” said Evesham boss Paul Collicutt.

Defender Leroy Odiero fractured two fingers after landing awkwardly in Evesham’s loss to Slimbridge and looks set to miss out.

Collicutt said he was bemused by the dismissal of Smith for violent conduct.

He said: “Although Lance was frustrated it shows you can’t do that sort of thing and he will now be missing for three games.”

Winger Elliot Kennedy has been struggling with sickness this week and is a doubt for tomorrow.

However, Collicutt is hoping to get “one or two players” back for the tough test in Bath.

“We had 10 players who couldn’t train on Tuesday and are down on our resources but I have faith in the squad,” said Collicutt.

“Larkhall have a new manager and are a different team to when we last played them.

“I saw the second half of Larkhall’s 1-0 win against Bishop’s Cleeve in midweek and they looked good.

“They drew 2-2 with Hereford in their last home match so they are a decent side.”

Leaders Hereford visit 14th-placed Didcot Town tomorrow (3pm) but injured top scorer John Mills is a doubt to face his former club.
