BROADWAY United Youth won the Ambassador Evesham League Under-18s Division title with a stunning 4-0 win at Wychbold Juniors.

A superb hat-trick by Luke Sallis and a Matt Abbott goal sealed the win.

The nucleus of the side, coached by Karl Tryner and Martin Bell, have been together for years and this was their first silverware.

Evesham United Colts, Pershore Town Eagles, Crowle Searchers and Wychbold are battling for second spot.

Meanwhile, trials will be held on the next two Saturdays at Evesham United’s Jubilee Stadium for an under-16s team to enter the Midland Junior Premier League next season.

Wickhamford-based Wychavon Wanderers need players for a new under-eights league team.

They must still be aged seven on September 1 and in Year Three at school.

Gary Baines is setting up a new goalkeeper coaching school in Evesham endorsed by Worcestershire FA.

Group sessions will be at the De Montfort Sports Centre, Four Pools Road, on Mondays and Fridays from 6pm until 8pm, while private tuition is available on request.

Ashton-under-Hill are looking to re-establish their football club after several years out of action.

The club, originally formed in 1988, want to start a new senior Sunday team and set up a youth section.

They hope to organise matches in memory of long-time supporter Tony Wilcox and young villager Emily Mayo as well as raise funds for local schools.

The club have applied to the Aviva Community Project Fund, which would help buy equipment and resources.
