LITTLETON Football Club rounded off their season with a 4-1 home win against Stafford Town in Midland League Division One.
It was a season which had promised so much for Littleton when they were top of the league for a month and won two team of the month awards.
But, in the new year, Littleton’s form faded and they have finished ninth with 55 points after 17 wins, 17 defeats and four draws.
Littleton took the lead against Stafford after Kyonn Evans, who had earlier rattled the bar, set up Joe Smith, who netted.
The Vale side lost their goalkeeper and gave away a goal in a bizarre incident, which saw the ball bobble into an empty net.
Littleton regained the lead through Robbie Bunn and hit further goals from Will Gayton and Liam Giaquint.
Pershore Town have finished 11th in Division One, with a 51-point haul, after a 2-0 defeat at Uttoxeter Town.
