PHIL Davis’ first-half strike saw Bear overcome lower-ranked Bredon 1-0 to reach the Express-Funding Mick Godwin Cup final.

The town side are guaranteed a Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League Division One top-three finish and have made the Evesham Hospital Junior Cup last four.

Their cup final opponents will be either Eckington or Badsey Recreation.

Badsey reached the semis with a 4-0 win at Pebworth through Proctor (2), Banning and Schuard. WMK closed their Division One campaign with a 3-0 win over Fladbury Athletic with goals from Deeming, Johns and Nasar.

Bretforton Old Boys reached the Pershore Hospital Junior Cup final against Pinvin United with a 3-2 win over Broadway United.

Alcester Town clinched promotion to the top flight with a 3-1 victory at Division Two champions Jacksons Fairfield.

Diangelis (2) and Dance scored for Alcester with Heritage netting for Jacksons.

Division Three leaders Cidermill lost their unbeaten league record to second-placed Inkberrow.

Coughlin and Sheen put the visitors in charge with Reading pulling a goal back for the Hampton side.

Cropthorne closed their league campaign, coming from behind to win 4-3 at Ecosamba thanks to T Boother (2), J Boother and Lettersee.

Tewkesbury Town clinched the Division Four title, winning 2-0 at third-placed Charlton Old Boys with a double from Robinson.

Second-placed Harvington hit nine without reply against Ambi Allsports through Woodfield (4), Cother (3), Handy and Reynolds.

Dragons defeated Bengeworth 6-2 with goals from Wicks (2), Mayhew (2), Clarke and Wilsden, while Green and Andrew replied.

Cropthorne play Bengeworth Sports on Sunday, April 12, before Dragons face Charlton Old Boys on Sunday, April 19 (both 5pm).

The final will be at the same venue on Thursday, April 23 (7pm).
