AMBASSADOR Evesham League Under 18s Pool leaders Broadway United Youth were held 1-1 at Welford Juniors.

Juniors grabbed a dramatic 85th-minute equaliser through Elliott Whittle for a well-deserved point.

The Welford club linesman signalled the ball had crossed the line for Broadway’s first-half goal.

Wychbold Juniors closed the gap with an 8-0 win over Pershore Town Falcons and fellow high-fliers Crowle Searchers beat Bidford Juniors by the same scoreline.

Pershore Town Eagles beat Lower Teme Lions 6-0 and Evesham United Colts edged Droitwich Spa Youth 1-0.

Pershore Town hosted Under 16s Pool leaders Tewkesbury Town Colts and, despite Oliver Lees’ goal, could not prevent a 9-1 defeat.

Evesham United Colts showed lethal finishing in an 8-1 Under 15s Pool win at Tewkesbury Town Colts.

Will McGarr’s hat-trick took his tally to 33 for the season with Robert Rojek (2) and Edward Whittaker (2) among the other scorers.

In Under 13s Pool ‘A’, Welford Juniors kept the pressure on at the top as they won 2-0 at Badsey Rangers through Oliver Burdett and Samuel Rosso.

There was a 10-goal thriller as Tewkesbury Town Colts overcame Badsey Rangers 6-4 in Under 12s Pool ‘A’.

Unbeaten Welford Juniors Pumas beat Eckington Eagles 7-0 through Max Hauderbourg (2), Karl Wilkins (2), Samuel Pitts-Eckersall (2) and Lewis Weir.

In a clash of the Pool ‘B’ top two, leaders Shipston Excelsior beat Moreton Rangers 4-1 with Connor Murphy (2), Oscar Hair and Dylan Williams on target.

Pershore Town Piranhas edged Bretforton Juniors 3-2 in Pool ‘C’ thanks to Nathan North (2) and James Rochester.

Moreton Rangers sealed an Under 11s Plate final place with a 3-1 win over Ilmington United as Toby Stevens (2) and Kian Burrows netted.

Evesham United Robins closed in on the Under 11s Pool ‘C’ title as they won 6-2 at Snitterfield Junior Colts.

Luke Holme (3), Antonio Pirelli (2) and Reagan Martin scored.

Meanwhile, the league have some new awards this season with sportsmanship trophies in all age groups and divisions.

Each side is asked to tell league secretary Tony Gittins their winner by March 31.
