THREE players were sent off as Littleton secured a hard-earned 2-1 win at high-flying Uttoxeter Town in Midland League Division One.

Littleton made the early running and went close on 14 minutes.

Dan Holloway swapped passes with Sean Cooke and his powerful drive was beaten out by the keeper.

Three minutes later, Littleton went ahead with Cooke again involved.

He beat his man on the right and hit a deep cross with Kyonn Evans on hand to hit a sweet half-volley past the keeper from close range.

However, the hosts hit back and equalised with a thunderous free-kick from the edge of the box.

In the second-half, Littleton looked the more likely to score and Holloway had a shot hacked off the line.

Then came the first sending off with the visitors' Jack Cresswell receiving his marching orders.

Littleton then concentrated on holding on to what they had but were looking dangerous on the break with Jamie Clarke proving a handful.

Moving on into injury-time, Uttoxeter's keeper came a long way out of his box and hacked the ball clear.

But it fell to Holloway some 30 yards out and he hit it first-time into the empty net as the keeper desperately tried to get back.

Following this, Uttoxeter had one last attack.

Their centre-forward floored Littleton's keeper and was duly sent off and to everyone's amazement so was the keeper Haydn Whitcombe.

On Saturday, Littleton are away again this time to Racing Club Warwick (3pm) and on Wednesday there is a home game at last with Southam United (7.45pm).
