EXHALL and Wixford will launch their second All Stars Cricket programme on Friday, May 11, at 6pm.

All Stars cricket is a new nationwide initiative from the England and Wales Cricket Board aimed at providing children aged five to eight with a great first experience in cricket.

There will be eight one-hour weekly sessions with the emphasis on fun and being active.

Every child that registers will receive a backpack full of goodies including a cricket bat, ball, activity book, personalised shirt and cap all sent straight to your door.

Exhall and Wixford’s All Stars lead activator Richard Anson said: “Last year’s launch was a huge success and currently registrations for 2018 are already 10 per cent ahead of the overall numbers who attended in 2017 so we are gearing up for an even bigger event this year.

"We also see All Stars as an important stepping stone to our junior cricket section where we run sides who compete at under nines, 11s, 13s and 15s and it’s great to see that a number of children who are now too old for All Stars are keen to join our age group sides for 2018.”

Further details can be found at allstarscricket.co.uk/2638 and registrations can be made at allstarscricket.co.uk/exhall-wixford.

Exhall and Wixford will also hold their annual junior awards and club open day from noon on Sunday, April 22, and any prospective new members will be more than welcome.
