TABLE-TOPPING Bredon Cricket Club roared to a crushing 111-run home victory against Bromyard in Worcestershire League Division Two.

It was unbeaten Bredon’s fifth win from six matches.

Martyn Draper struck 43 before Clive Fenney (58) and Richard Bruce, who crashed 47 from 29 balls, steered Bredon to 263-8.

Dominic Fenney (3-36), Martin Hill (2-31) and Tim Fenney (2-37) combined to shoot out Bromyard for 152.

Bredon travel to third-placed Chaddesley Corbett on Saturday (1pm).

Evesham are second, 11 points adrift of Bredon, after a 70-run home win against Coombs Wood.

Despite 6-33 from Alex Gregory, Nasir Mehmood (65 not out) led Evesham to 171 all out.

Fahim Maan (4-16) and James Crenan (3-14) helped dismiss the Halesowen club for 101. Evesham visit Bromyard on Saturday (1pm).
