NEWCOMERS Pershore maintained their 100 per cent record in Birmingham and District League Division Three with a resounding 114-run win at Brewood.

They are now 13 points ahead of Handsworth at the top of the table.

Steady contributions from Chris Ridings (51), Adam Wiffen (45) and Liam Ridings (42) helped Pershore to 241-6 at Brewood, who then crumbled to 127 all out.

Dewald Joubert took 3-38 for Brewood but Joe Taylor (3-23), Taylor Pugh (3-27) and Matthew Brace (3-45) ensured Pershore triumphed again.

Lichfield made 269-7 in an 85-run win over Eastnor.

Adam Braddock hit 80 after Stuart Fielding had opened with 72, while Atiq ur-Rehman took 3-65 for the Herefordshire outfit.

Braddock also played his part with the ball, taking 3-26 as Eastnor were bowled out for 184.

Astwood Bank defeated Newport by 48 runs to leave the Shropshire side at the foot of the table.

Barnards Green have taken over at the top of Division One after a 22-run win against previous leaders Bridgnorth.

In a match dominated by ball over bat, Green managed to reach 141 all out with Jamie Tapper top scoring with 36.

Bridgnorth slumped to 82-7 before Gareth Mumford (28) inspired hopes of a revival that were extinguished by 4-15 from Blair Kingsland.

Earlier in the innings, Alex Hepburn (3-17) and George Rhodes (3-27) had shared the first six wickets to fall.

An unbeaten 154 from 126 balls from Amitoze Singh took Smethwick to a 270-8 at Brockhampton who collapsed to 123 all out.

Jamie McIlroy grabbed 3-42 for Brockhampton who had no answer to Mo Sheikh (2-21) and Qasim Shah (3-28) before Sukhjit Singh took 4-13 to wrap up the win for Smethwick.

C & R Hawks crushed Old Elizabethans by 83 runs after piling up 309-9 at Perdiswell in Division Two. Muhammed Fayaz cracked 85 from 76 balls after Mubeen Rashid had hit 49 from 43 balls.

Elliott Hennessey finished with 3-58 for OE’s who were all out for 226 in response.

Their innings just fell away after an opening stand of 152 between Ashley Bullock (71) and Jamie Boyle (62) with Omar Ali taking 3-34.

Stourbridge struggled to 151 all out at near-neighbours Halesowen after Zain Ul-Hassan (42) and Alex Bingham (31) had lifted them to 102-2.

Jack Myers snapped up 3-7 as Halesowen eased to a six-wicket win, Ed Kilbee making 56.
