TEENAGE talent Joe Nishigaki proved he is one to watch for the future after topping the bowling averages at Evesham.
The 16-year-old left-arm spinner, who played most of last season in the thirds but also turned out for the seconds, took 25 wickets at 13.96.
His best effort of 7-37 came for Evesham thirds against Harborne sixths although his team lost by 11 runs. Nishigaki’s mother Emma said: “It’s an extraordinary achievement for him in adult cricket.”
The Prince Henry’s High School pupil claimed six more wickets than secondplaced Ian Unwin, while first-teamer Saddam Khan was third with 15.
