EVESHAM Vale Running Club’s Steve Sandalls and Sheila Barbour finished fourth in their age groups at the Coventry half-marathon.

Ned Lammas took part in the Cotswold Care Hospice’s Race the Train in Cheltenham, beating the train by nearly five minutes.

Robert Hale competed in the hot, humid conditions of an Australian spring in the Darwin five-kilometre race, crossing the line in 26 minutes 55 seconds.

The club welcome runners of all abilities and meets at 7pm at Falcons Bar, Waterside, every Monday.
