EVESHAM JUBILEE
MEMBERS struggled for bites with low water and busy towpath activity on the Worcester Canal’s Blanquettes section.
Phil Seedhouse still found small roach and skimmers to win with 2lbs 10oz ahead of Doug Smith (1-15) and John Edgeley (1-0).
Sunday is now a fishery match with an 8.45am draw and the Bidford match on the River Avon will be the following Sunday from 7.45am.
EVESHAM WMC
THE annual cup on the Kennett and Avon Canal at Great Bedwyn, Wiltshire, was won by Rick Huxley fishing the pole at 11 metres using maggot as bait.
He caught skimmers and bream throughout for 17-2.
Mart Woods fished maggot over ground bait for 13-2 of bream, while Ian Lewis used the waggler for 10-12.
Section ‘A’ winner was Nat Prothrough with 2-10 and ‘B’ went to Vic Woods with 8-2.
