Success for girls at regatta

EVESHAM Rowing Club’s girls enjoyed success at Stourport’s two-day regatta.

The opening win on the 1,100-metre course came from Tash Bradley in the single sculls for 18-year-olds against the host club.

The next win came from the J15 quad of Ellie Smith, Lauren Caddy, Flo Pickles and Lydia House, coxed by Katie Griffiths, who beat Stourport after seeing off Ross.

Frances Russell and Rhia Woodford tasted success in the J14 double sculls, defeating Burton Leander and then Stourport.

On the second day, no Evesham crews won on the 600m course despite three making finals. The J15 quad of Smith, Caddy, Russell and House, coxed by Griffiths, lost to Bewdley.

The J16 coxless quad of Caddy, Sadie Bryan, House and Smith found Worcester too strong, while Tash and Jas Bradley just missed out to Trent in the J18 double sculls.
