Echelon 10-mile trail next

TEAM Echelon-Rotor host a 10-mile cycling time trial on the Dunnington course on Saturday.

The Pershore club have 95 entries for the circular route which passes through Norton and Salford Priors before joining the A46 dual-carriageway, finishing just before Arrow.

Meanwhile, club junior Tom Ward won the Ross-on- Wye and District time trial weekend overall with teammate Dave Dickerson second.

They tackled a 10-mile event at Abergavenny and a 25-mile race from Usk to Monmouth and back.

In the first race, Tim Wood was second in 20 minutes 43 seconds ahead of Ward (21.03), Dickerson (21.28), Jeff Matthews (22.38) and Brian Newton (24.48).

Arja Scarsbook’s 24.15 gave her second in the veterans standard competition, missing first by two seconds. Echelon- Rotor missed out on the team prize by 15 seconds.
