NAUNTON Downs hosted and won the ladies bronze team championship, a Gloucestershire Ladies County Association competition.
With more than 70 players competing, Naunton’s team of Lisa Mosson, Sharon Staples, Jo Cunningham and Linda Godfrey emerged victorious with 101 points.
Shirehampton were second on count-back with 94 points, while Filton were third.
Meanwhile, the club will stage a mini golf festival on Sunday, August 5, for children aged five to 14. Running from 10am to noon, it will be a two-hour introduction to the sport.
