EVESHAM had a week of celebrations at the 90-yearold Fladbury club culminating in a birthday party as part of Lady Captain’s Day.
Thirty-five ladies took part in a Drop Out Texas Scramble in teams of four before a presentation. A medal competition for the Rose Bowl and Liza Lightfoot Trophy was won by Melanie Evans with gross 91 ahead of Ruth Masters and Jenny Marston (both 92). Evans was also presented with the Rose Bowl thanks to a best nett 72 with Verity Lawrence (73) second.
The winning team for the scramble was captain Masters, Jenny Masser, Patsy Brumage and Beryl Osborne with 45 points.
Evans, Lemon, Dee Machin and Jane Bagley were second with 43 and Lesley Curnock, Pam Hutcheon, Julie Winter (40) third.
