Intrepid five conquer two Tour climbs

EVESHAM Wheelers Dave Newbould, Tony Canning, Stuart Newbury, Phil Stayte and Robin Walker took on two of the biggest climbs used in the Tour de France.

They tackled Alpe D’Huez at 1,850 metres with 21 hairpin bends and Mount Ventoux at 1,912m in the Alps.

Meanwhile, Carol Hall led Wheelers on a 46-mile Sunday club run.
