TEWKESBURY Swimming Club’s Becky Sheppard and Hattie Rothwell bagged five golds each at the Gloucester County ASA Championships.
Sheppard won the 13-yearold girls’ British age group category (BAGCAT) with 2,742 points through wins in the 50-metre, 100m and 200m breaststroke, 100m freestyle and 100m individual medley.
Rothwell was third in the same BAGCAT age category with 2,690 thanks to victories in the 200m butterfly, 200m individual medley and 200m, 400m and 1,500m freestyle.
Abi Rawlings, 12, won the 100m and 200m breaststroke and was second in the 800m freestyle to finish runner-up in the 12-year-old girls’ BAGCAT.
Matt Benson was fourth in the 12-year-old boys’ BAGCAT with gold in the 100m breaststroke and silvers in the 50m and 200m breaststroke.
Will Gibney, 19, managed top-three spots in several events.
