ECKINGTON were the vistors in the Ambassador Evesham League Cup final against Badsey.
Eckington were soon on the attack and George Kirtland fired in an early opener to help calm their nerves.
Max Brothwood went on a strong run and struck a low drive which flew into the bottom corner of the Badsey net to put Eckington two up.
The visitors started the second-half strongly, forcing Eckington keeper Dan Holland to pull off several fine saves.
Ben Oliver fired in a powerful shot from the edge of the box to beat the Badsey keeper for the third time.
James Whitmore finished off a great personal performance by smashing in his side’s fourth.
Evesham United u9s.
EVESHAM United u9s travelled to Bretforton and won the Ambassador League six-a-side tournament.
The group stage started with a draw against Broadway, before wins over Tewkesbury and Littleton and another stalemate against Welford. These results saw United top their group.
In the semi-final against Pershore, Evesham took the lead before their opponents equalised with virtually the last kick of the game.
Evesham stepped up the pressure in extra-time, finding the winner to put them into their first final.
In the final, United came up against Alcester.
The game had few chances and went into extra-time.
But neither team could find the net and the game went to penalties.
After five spot-kicks each, the teams were level. Alcester missed their first sudden death penalty.
Sam Rogers stepped up to take Evesham’s next kick and drilled it into the bottom corner for the tournament win.
Eckington u10s.
ECKINGTON made it an exceptional day in the club’s history as they lifted the Ambassador Evesham League tournament trophy.
Eckington enjoyed victories over Shipston, Drakes Broughton and Bidford on their way to the final.
Before that, they defeated Lenches 1-0 in the semi-final.
In the showpiece, Eckington faced Littleton and the game went into extra-time.
Josh Fendt smashed a shot against the Littleton crossbar before finally the deadlock was broken. From an Eckington corner, the ball cannoned into the Littleton goal off a defender, to give Eckington the crucial goal.
Evesham United Colts u10s 1, Pershore Town u10s 0.
THE two sides were equal in this Ambassador League Plate Cup Final but Evesham’s man-of-the-match Ben Cole opened the scoring and was at the heart of most of the midfield battles.
Kyle Johnson was outstanding in the Evesham goal, making two fine saves to keep Pershore Town at bay.
The second-half was equally close with chances at both ends.

Evesham United Robins u12s 5, Lakeside u12s 0.
EVESHAM caused an upset with a fine home victory over leaders Lakeside.
The host’s first goal came from a corner with William Warren’s header causing problems and Johnathon Robinson pouncing to score.
Thomas Backx made it 2-0 when he fired in from another corner just before the break.
In the second period, Evesham continued in the same vain and, from a long Bradley Izod throw-in, James Noble headed home.
The fourth came from a corner from Izod and Noble grabbed his second, poking it over the line.
Izod made it five to leave Evesham back in the league title hunt.
Broadway United u14s 3, Peopleton u14s 2.
BROADWAY United maintained their unbeaten record for the season, to win the Evesham Ambassador League title.
In last fixture of the season against Peopleton, Broadway found themselves 2-0 down at the interval.
But a stunning second-half display by United turned the game around to produce a 3-2 victory.
Peopleton Juniors u15s.
PEOPLETON Juniors will meet Tewkesbury Colts in the Ambassador League cup final on Saturday.
The game will be held at the Pershore Town’s ground and kicks-off at 1.30pm.
The teams are currently separated by just one point at the top of the league table, so the meeting promises to be both competitive and entertaining.
Burton Albion Girls u16s 0, Evesham United Girls u16s 7.
IN the opening few minutes, Evesham's Lauren Cowley played a great ball to Sophie Griffith wide on the right but Burton managed to clear the cross away.
Shortly afterwards, a Zoe Mabbott corner fell to Hannah Watts who forced the ball home.
Burton did not let their heads drop and a shot from distance brought visiting keeper Rebekah Simms into action.
Mabbott then combined with Zoe Pygott at the other end and the latter scored on the volley.
An Evesham counter-attack saw Mabbot scoring a rifled shot into the corner of the net.
Evesham continued to press, and Watts latched onto a free-kick to score her second just before half-time.
Rosie Williamson, playing wide right in the second period, played a ball across the box which Hannah Lowerson passed into the net, beyond the diving Burton keeper.
Evesham captain Cowley was moved into attack for her last few minutes and scored her first for the club.
Mabbott rounded things off with her second with a curled shot into the top corner from 25 yards.
