Crowle Searchers u13s 0, Alveston Colts u13s 1.

WITH more enforced changes, Crowle lined up with a makeshift back four comprising Wood, Coleman, Morris and Goode with Mitchell playing as a lone striker.

Crowle made a promising start with a couple of early attacks but Alveston had the best chance on eight minutes with Cline sweeping the follow-up shot away with his leg.

Parkinson-Allsopp made way for Copeland on 23 minutes as Crowle tried to get their passing game going.

Copeland was introduced only to take a knock to his nose and come off.

Cline tipped another effort over the bar then Crowle had their best move on the stroke of half-time, a throw out to Parsons who pushed down the left, threaded the ball to Mitchell but shot wide.

Alveston had a dream start to the second-half when Simmonds found space on the edge of the box and rifled his shot home to take a 1-0 lead.

More saves by Clines and more changes saw Chris Wood introduced but Crowle always seemed under pressure.

On 50 minutes, a rare attack down the left saw the Alveston keeper dive to cut out a Parkinson–Allsopp cross.

Coleman won a free-kick on the half-way line which Mitchell managed to get on the end of, but shot wide.

Then on 61 minutes, Hines made break down the right and his ball to the far post was gathered by the keeper to frustrate Mitchell.

In the dying moments, Kenwright saw his good effort blocked by the keeper and Hines found the side-netting.

Evesham attacked from the first whistle in the second-half and finally got their passing game together.

They also got the breakthrough when ,some good following up, saw Max Danby bundle the ball over the line. Evesham were now on top and Harry Taylor hit the bar from distance. Then, 18 minutes in, Evesham took the lead again a fantastic long-range effort from Taylor.

Sheppey Swifts u13s 2, Badsey Rangers u13s 1.

SHEPPEY Swifts inflicted the first defeat of the season on Evesham Ambassador League leaders Badsey.

Within minutes a Cavan Ryan effort was blocked on the Badsey line before Sheppey went ahead when striker Ollie Brothwood latched onto a through-ball from Dan Evans, to shoot past keeper Josh Mann.

Brothwood then teed up Charlie Emerson, whose long-range shot was well saved at the foot of the near post.

Badsey’s Jordan Naylor went close with a lob from 25 yards but Sheppey keeper Josh Rogers and centre-half Max Lowe combined to keep it out.

The second-half was only four minutes old when Ryan’s deflected shot cannoned off the post for a corner. From the resulting kick, Sheppey went 2-0 up. Evans’ low cross was met first time by Ryan, who volleyed through a wall of players into the net.

Badsey pulled a goal back 10 minutes later when Rogers was undone by a cross that bounced awkwardly and Tom Benfield slotted the ball home.

The visitors sensed a comeback but with Lowe and Harry Bermingham superb at the heart of the Sheppey defence, the closest Badsey came to an equaliser was a header from Benfield, scrambled off the line by Emerson.

In the dying minutes, Brothwood was twice put through on goal but was denied by brave defending from Nathan Bolland and Mann.
