ROB Brookes warmed-up for Saturday’s Quinton Rally in Llandovery with a test session in his MGZR.
The Evesham racer headed for the Phil Price Rally School in Knighton to use a two-mile gravel section.
The Quinton Rally consists of 45 stage miles using classic routes from the World Rally Championship calendar such as halfway and route 60 over the Epynt Military Ranges.
Brookes said: “It was great to get back on the gravel as I have not driven on this surface since November of last year.
“Although I felt a little rusty at start some help from Justin Dale, former British rally champion, was on hand to offer some great advice and the stage times tumbled.”
