TWO young riders for Evesham's Jones Dorling Racing picked up more promising results.
Cameron Fraser and Ewan Potter rode the Yamaha R6 at Superstock 600 Championship round seven at Hampshire’s Thruxton circuit.
The team were without Ashley Beech whose new Suzuki 1000 was not ready for the Superstock 1000 support class of the British Superbike Championship.
The riders improved their lap times on a fast circuit in practice before settings were changed.
Qualifying was halted due to a red-flag incident and with the session reduced to 20 minutes the pressure was on for competitive grid positions for the 14-lap race.
They achieved new personal best lap times with Fraser qualifying 15th and Potter 23rd.
Both were in the pack for the entire race and changed positions constantly while bettering their lap times.
Fraser moved up from 16th to finish 11th for more championship points while Potter battled to 16th for his best result of the season.
They will be reunited with Beech on the new Suzuki at Cadwell Park this weekend.
