EVESHAM'S Olly Turner has enjoyed a series of podium finishes in the British Racing and Sports Car Club Fiesta Junior Championship.
The 15-year-old has reached the halfway point of the season with podiums at every round at Brands Hatch, Cadwell Park, Rockingham Motor Speedway and Snetterton.
Turner, in the Sonic Equipment yellow Fiesta ST, finally clinched one better than a third place at the Norfolk track where he had his first podium as a rookie last season.
Relishing the conditions and the layout, race one turned out to be a real boost.
Turner, supported by Rivers Fitness and Power Maxed, qualified back in fifth but was in third by the second corner and moved up to second quickly.
The Jam Sport team driver held off the competition with accurate and fast laps on diminishing tyres in sweltering conditions to get the second place trophy.
Race two was disappointing having been run wide at Murrays corner but a determined Turner never took his foot off the gas and got fifth place.
Currently fourth in the close championship standings, Turner is focused on continuing to develop the car and finishing strongly with the next meeting at Castle Combe on August 11 and 12.
