EVESHAM United’s attacking left-back Lewis Binns has departed for Southern League rivals Cinderford Town.

The 22-year-old, who joined the Robins from Bishops Cleeve, has spent four years at the Jubilee Stadium.

Gloucester-based Binns missed the end of last season with an ankle injury.

Meanwhile, West Midlands League side Malvern Town have re-signed centre-half Jamie Smith following a season away.

They have also agreed terms for the campaign ahead with hard-working midfielder Chris Parker who has impressed for the under 21s.

Worcestershire’s Mark Yates has left Solihull Moors to become the new Macclesfield Town manager on a three-year deal.

Former Kidderminster Harriers boss and midfielder Yates guided Moors to safety after arriving in November when they were in relegation trouble in the National League.

He joins the promoted champions for their return to the Football League, replacing John Askey who has joined Shrewsbury Town as manager.

Yates said: “I’m really pleased. It’s happened really quickly but I’m joining a club with momentum and a club that are on the up.

“Everybody at the football club did a fantastic job last season and I just want to carry that on in a very competitive League Two.

“I’m looking forward to working with the players that are here but also bringing in some new faces too.”

Ex-Harriers forward Nathan Blissett has joined Town on a two-year contract from Plymouth Argyle after a successful loan spell.
