CHIPPING Campden School's unbeaten year 11 boys' team were crowned Gloucestershire county football champions after a dramatic penalty shoot-out.
Following a 6-0 win against St Peter’s, Gloucester, in the semis, they went into the final with Bristol’s Cotham School feeling positive.
Going two goals ahead in the first two minutes was a fantastic start for the Cotswold side.
The rest of the game though became a real battle with the Campden players put under pressure by a determined, skilful Cotham team.
Cotham’s persistence helped them get back to 2-2 at full-time.
There were chances for both teams in extra-time but the score remained 2-2.
The penalty shoot-out went to sudden death before Campden got the better of their opponents by converting their seventh spot-kick.
The Cidermill Lane school's team capped a stellar season after winning every match they have played.
