TWO Pershore Phoenix paddlers have qualified for the Great Britain under 18s dragon boat racing squad.
Michael Dacombe and David Blackmore were successful at trials and will compete at the European Championships in Brandenburg, Germany, in August.
Last year, the duo were selected for GB and won gold medals at the World Under 18s Championships in France.
The British Dragonboat Association Premier League races begin in early summer for Pershore.
Phoenix have a lot of activities planned for 2018 including the Cork Ocean to City Race, a competition in the Czech Republic and hopefully the Great River Race on the Thames.
They are based at Arden Sailing Club, Defford, and always looking for new paddlers.
