THE team at Pershore Tennis Centre served up a winning combination to raise money for new courts.
Joining Davis and Fed Cup players, including Danny Sapsford, they travelled to the National Tennis Centre, Roehampton, to play for 24 hours.
As part of a marathon with other clubs, Sapsford and his Bright Ideas For Tennis joined the Pershore players on court.
Pershore head coach Steve Bauer said: “It was a surreal experience and so incredible to play with the pros and for such a worthy cause too.”
Sapsford said: “It was great to be able to include Pershore with our event this year with 16 Davis or Fed Cup players and 12 tennis venues all trying to raise funds for their respective club projects.
“Over 100 club players participated throughout the weekend.
“I visited Pershore a couple of years ago to provide an open day and they proved then what a remarkable energy and enthusiasm they have.
“From the coaches, committee and right down to the members themselves, they are a great example of what can be achieved at a tennis venue.
“It is no wonder the club can boast some of the best facilities in the West Midlands.”
Pershore coach Julian Ramus will skydive in aid of the charity and his club later on this month.
