CAITLYN Clarke and Sarah Jones scored braces as Evesham and Badsey drew 4-4 at Ross-on-Wye in West Clubs Women's League Severn Division Two.

A wet start to the game proved to be a good one for Ross with the first goal scored within minutes.

A good save from Zoe Miller denied Ross a second and Lucy Malley took the ball down the other end before Evesham and Badsey went close from a short corner.

The visitors' defence denied Ross a second goal they swooped from a short corner.

But determined Badsey and Evesham hit back with Clarke scoring their first following another short corner.

Ross bagged a third before Clarke completed an entertaining first half with her second from a similar situation to the first strike.

Evesham and Badsey levelled in the second period when Lydia Webster and Laura Moore combined for Jones to score.

Ross regained the lead but were prevented from scoring a fifth which proved crucial when Jones bagged her second of the match to reward their team spirit with a draw.

Their player of the match was Claire Clarke for her improvement, determination and marking.
