POPULAR handicap secretary Barrie Saggers won Division One of Evesham Golf Club's September Medal on Saturday.
Saggers finished with 70, a point clear of Anthony Rock (71) with Rob Wylie third on countback from Andrew Witts (both 72).
Recent rain wreaked havoc with the scores and only five golfers across two divisions bettered the par of 72.
Among that quintet was Division Two winner Dave Higgins who maintained his fine recent form with 70, a point ahead of Ron Smith who pipped Chris Ainsworth to second (both 71). Ian Hughes finished fourth (72).
