PERSHORE failed to gain promotion as Halesowen beat them to go up from Birmingham League Division Two.

The Vale visitors were invited to bat first and despite 51 from Liam Ridings were dismissed for 104 in 45.3 overs.

Richard Brooker (5-16) and Eddie Rhodes (3-26) did the damage and after an interruption for rain Halesowen were set a revised target of 95 in 40 overs to win.

Jamie Harris' 47 not out guided them to a seven-wicket win and left Pershore fifth after wins for C & R Hawks and Fordhouses.

Although Astwood Bank earned the bonus point needed to clinch promotion from Division Three they went down to a 64-run defeat at Stourbridge.

Josh Banks (48) and Zain Ul-Hassan (40) saw Stourbridge to 188-6 in 50 overs before Bank were bowled out for 124.

Opener Ryan Blakemore scored 40 and Pete Alexander scored 35 but Jade Richter claimed 4-26 and Luke Alexander 3-21.

Stratford’s Division Three season finished brightly with a comprehensive seven-wicket win against relegated Worcester Nomads who were all out for 175.

Ollie Ranscombe top scored with 55 and there were three wickets each for Adrian Witts (3-41) and Anthony Pratley (3-42).

An opening stand of 123 for Stratford between Chris Whelan (69) and Adam Bayliss (55) paved the way for a straightforward victory with Nomads’ Cameron Blakey taking 3-38.

Kidderminster will be relegated from the Premier Division alongside Brockhampton after losing to Dorridge by 43 runs.

Skipper David Ball (69) led Dorridge to 283-7 in 50 overs, aided by 59 from Aqeel Ahmad and 42 from Ali Ebad.

Connor Smith took 3-62 for Kidderminster who were in trouble on 64-6 before a stand of 160 for the seventh wicket between Tom Kimberlin (93) and Liam Weston (79) revived hopes.

But they were dismissed for 240 with James Ayres taking 3-32.

A spell of 7-13 by Barnt Green leg-spinner Josh Poysden saw Brockhampton off for 102 before James Psarakis (61 not out from 26 balls) smashed the Worcestershire club to a nine-wicket win in 10.1 overs and a final placing of fifth.

Ombersley romped to a four-wicket win against Wolverhampton after dismissing the visitors for 202 in 43.4 overs.

Matthew Kleinveldt (57) and Adam Lawley (56) were the main contributors for Wolverhampton as Matt Rawnsley picked up 3-48 and Ted Bayliss 3-37.

In reply Liam Gwynne (54) and Ben Cox (42) saw Ombersley home in the 40th over to confirm fourth position in the table.
