LITTLETONS A suffered three defeats after hosting the Wildmoor Spa Tennis League Junior Cup play-offs.

They were beaten 6-2 by defending champions HDA Redditch A and 6-0 by both Stratford and Alcester.

Alcester, Littletons, HDA Redditch and Stratford all qualified for the 12 years and under play-offs after winning their respective pools between March and June.

The losing pairs at the play-offs Littletons and HDA were presented with individual awards for having won Pools B and C respectively.

In the first round of matches HDA’s Finlay Shannon and Caleb Ravenscroft began well against Littletons' Daniel Reynolds and Fraser Bennett.

Alcester boys Luke Clemons and Adam Haerle overcame Stratford’s George Adams and Joe Pinnock 6-4.

Stratford eased to a win over Littletons and Alcester defeated Redditch HDA 6-2 in the second round.

Alcester then thrashed Littletons while Stratford comfortably qualified as the runners-up by overpowering HDA 6-0.

Alcester and Stratford will now play a final alongside the Men’s Inter-League Charity Cup final at Wildmoor Spa, Stratford, on September 3 (2.30pm).
