BRETFORTON continued their impressive start to the new Wychavon Parish Games campaign with a victory in the ladies’ rounders.
Bretforton topped the opening-day bell boating event and were triumphant in the rounders, finishing one point ahead of last year’s winners, Inkberrow.
Eight parishes took part in the ladies’ rounders with the results remaining in the balance until the finale of the event.
Sedgeberrow, who played in the rounders event for the first time, finished joint-third along with Wyre Piddle.
Broadway were fifth, while Eckington, who were last year’s runners-up, took sixth.
Harvington finished seventh and Honeybourne were eighth. With only eight parishes taking part, all teams took home points.
The men’s five-a-side football takes place at Badsey on Sunday, starting at 9.30am.
