CHIPPING Campden B regained top spot in the Wildmoor Spa Tennis League Division Three after beating rivals Redditch HDA B 4-0.

The Redditch side, who had led the table, were also penalised a league point for only being able to field one pair.

Pershore B had no fixture and slipped to fourth.

Stratford-on-Avon, who are undefeated this season, clinched the Premier Division title for the 15th successive year after a 3-1 victory against Alcester B.

Stratford were also helped when second-placed Alcester A dropped points in their 2-2 draw with bottom team Moreton-in-Marsh.

Alcester captain Tim Kenneally and partner Alex Woodbridge lost to Gary Jackson and James Elliott (Moreton) 0-6, 6-0, 0-1, after a Championship tie-break, but beat Brian Lomas and Chris Elliott (Moreton) 6-3, 6-4.

Emma Hubbard and Sam Thruston-End (Alcester A) beat Lomas and Elliott 6-0, 6-2, but lost to Jackson and Elliott 2-6, 5-7.

Henley-in-Arden slipped to a 3-1 defeat against relegation-threatened Evesham.

The result sets up a vital battle between Evesham and Alcester B, both on 17 points, to decide who will be demoted alongside Moreton-in-Marsh.

The top two teams in Division One, Chipping Campden A and Studley, lost ground when both were held to 2-2 draws.

Campden drew at fourth-placed Pershore and Studley away to fifth-placed Ardencote B.

Meanwhile, Littleton claimed a 4-0 victory over Stratford B to draw level with second-placed Studley, on 28 points.

Inkberrow A continue to dominate at the top of Division Two following a 4-0 win against Claverdon B. Shipston A recorded a 3-1 win over bottom side Studley B.

Bidford-on-Avon A have maintained their 11-point lead in Division Four Bidford were held to a 2-2 draw by third-placed Redditch HDA C in Division Three.

Second-placed Inkberrow C drew 2-2 with fourth-placed Evesham B. Bidford B have joined Evesham in equal fourth after a 4-0 win over lowly Moreton-in-Marsh B.

Wildmoor Spa A romped to a 4-0 win against bottom side Moreton C, who are now relegated.

Shipston B and Warwickshire County Council share top place, with 27 points each, in Division Five.

Shipston B recorded a 3-1 win over fifth-placed Henley, while the county council side battered Redditch HDA C 4-0.

Chipping Campden C remain in third position after drawing 2-2 with Tysoe, who have now moved up to fourth spot.
