SOUTH Worcestershire Lifesaving Club masters showed the children the way with medals at the two-day Surf Lifesaving GB Pool Championships at Millfield School.

Adrian Mayhew and Abbi Jones represented the Pershore club in the masters division, winning a total of seven medals.

Mayhew won a gold in the 50-metre manikin carry and silvers in the 100m obstacles, manikin carry with fins and manikin tow.

Jones also won a silver in the manikin carry with fins and two bronzes in the manikin carry and obstacle.

There were personal best times for all the children in the 100m and 200m obstacle races.

Lara Harding, the youngest member in the 13 year age group, continued a day of personal bests in every event achieving a top-15 finish in all.

Tom Clifford and Luke Smith had a mixed day in the 14 to 15 age section with some pick-up problems but both had success in the manikin carry races.

Emily Carsberg, in her first championships in the 16 to 17 category, impressed in her manikin carry and manikin tow.

In the same age section Alex Jackson continued his successes from the RLSS Nationals with a PB and fifth in the manikin carry with fins and eighth in the 100m manikin tow.
