TWENTY-six Evesham seniors took part in the annual Ray Till Tankards competition.

The format was greensomes bogey whereby pairs of golfers have to score nett par for a half and better it for a win.

Teams were playing against the course as well as the rest of the field off the white tees.

The winners were Mike Brumage and Les Bond with a score of 1+.

Second on countback were Bryan Rogers and John Smith on level ahead of Dave Kewley and Peter Ratledge.

Evesham's men's gathered at a sunny Craycombe Links to contest the April medal and Rotary Cup which was won by Will James.

Fast greens and increasingly lush rough completed the challenge.

Third place was occupied by Stuart Deacon on 71 who edged out Phil Wheeler on countback.

Division One saw Steven Protherough secure fourth with 72 and a lowest gross off 77.

Second and third were occupied by Andrew Witts and Boz Harris on 71.

The winner of Division One and the cup was James with 69.
