EVESHAM United's 1-1 draw at Bideford has almost guaranteed their involvement in the Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West promotion play-offs.

The Robins are six points ahead of North Leigh with just two games left, but their goal difference is 20 better than the Oxfordshire club’s.

Paul Collicutt’s men look set to face either Taunton Town, Tiverton Town or Salisbury in an away semi-final.

Ben Watson put Bideford in front after 19 minutes with a left-footed drive, but Adam Mann’s 35th minute goal earned Evesham a point.

Mann's shot from the edge of the penalty area took a deflection off Chris McGrath which wrong-footed the goalkeeper enough for the ball to roll just beyond him.

The game opened up a bit more in the second-half and the hosts had plenty of opportunities to re-take the lead.

However, Evesham nearly grabbed a late winner with three minutes remaining.

Matt Andrew was dispossessed in the middle of the park and Jordan Bryan ran through on goal only to blast his shot over the bar.

Leading scorer Lance Smith made his return from an ankle injury as a substitute in the 61st minute.

Midfielder Bradley Gray also went on after recovering from a similar problem, but he was forced off again after less than 10 minutes with a recurrence of his ankle injury.

Evesham host champions Hereford tomorrow in an all-ticket match and are expecting a bumper crowd of between 1,800 and 2,000 at the Jubilee Stadium (3pm).

Tickets will not be sold on the turnstiles. The club will be putting on free face painting as well as having an ice-cream van and bars outside the clubhouse.

Hereford were held to a 2-2 draw by 10-man Barnstaple Town at Edgar Street.

Young Hereford goalkeeper Max Harris denied Lee Francis with a good save before the lowly visitors took the lead through Ryan Turner.

After Mark Preece missed a header, Turner was through on-goal and chipped the ball over youngster Harris.

Shaun Copp forced Harris into a save low at the near post.

However, the visitors were reduced to 10 men before the break when Liam Gregory was shown two yellow cards in three minutes.

Hereford eventually levelled on 79 minutes after Joel Edwards linked up well with Rob Purdie and John Mills down the left.

Despite the sprawling Barnstaple keeper getting his foot to Edwards’ shot it wasn’t enough to prevent the ball from finding the top right-hand corner.

John Mills then struck to fire Hereford ahead a minute later after Edwards was involved in the build-up.

Mills took time to control Edwards’ cross from the left before shooting powerfully beyond the visiting keeper.

However, Barnstaple equalised seven minutes later.

Harris fumbled Scott Huxtable's free kick into the area and Turner was on hand to stab the loose ball home.
