MANAGER Paul Collicutt has warned his in-form side not to underestimate Yate Town when they visit Evesham United at the Jubilee Stadium tonight (7.45pm).

The Robins followed up their 5-0 triumph at Bridgwater Town with a 3-0 victory at Paulton Rovers on Saturday to move up to sixth in Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West.

However, Collicutt admits his players will need to be on their guard against 16th-placed Yate, who stunned much-fancied Salisbury 3-1 at the weekend.

“Yate are probably one of the form sides in the league at the minute,” Collicutt said.

“They have won three on the bounce and got the best result of the day, beating Salisbury, so we cannot afford to underestimate them.”

Striker Lance Smith, who missed Saturday’s trip to Paulton due to work commitments, is expected to return, while winger Jacob Sloggett and keeper Sam Gilder are also set to be back available.

Collicutt, whose side are not in action this weekend, is also hoping Evesham hit the ground running tonight.

“We have scored eight goals in the last two games and they have all come in the second half,” he said.

“It’s difficult to criticise the players but they know there is room for improvement and how important it is to get something out of the game tonight.”

Leaders Hereford FC host mid-table Slimbridge in the same division at Edgar Street tonight (7.45pm).

Pershore Town entertain Midland League Premier Division high-fliers Lye Town in the Worcestershire FA Senior Urn tonight (7.45pm).

They beat Studley 4-0 in Division One on Saturday with Sean Cooke, Louis Bridges and Will Gayton (2) on target.

Worcester Raiders head to Tividale-based Wrens Nest in West Midlands League Division One tonight (7.45pm).

Raiders beat Malvern Town Reserves 4-0 in the Worcestershire FA Saturday Junior Cup first round at the weekend with Richard Smith (3) and Martin Fowler scoring.

They have gone unbeaten in the first seven league games to be third in the table.
