TWO members of the Pershore High School sixth form enjoyed success at the British Junior Canoe Sprint Regatta at Nottingham’s National Watersports Centre.
Ruth Bennett, 17, of Wyre Piddle, is now the C1 junior national champion in the 200-metre sprint after winning the gold medal and she added silver in the C1 500m.
Bennett will now represent Great Britain at an international regatta in Hungary at the end of September, according to coach Andy Train.
Megan Bradley, 16, of Fladbury, won a bronze medal in the C1 200m.
The Fladbury Paddle Club duo are also junior national C2 champions for 200m and 500m after both winning gold medals.
