PERSHORE Women’s Touch Rugby Club have retained top spot in the regional Midlands Ladies Touch League South West Championship.

They triumphed in their home tournament in Wyre Piddle after winning all their pool matches, then beating Redditch 1-0 and Bromyard 2-1.

With only two more SW regional tournaments to be played they are well placed with 40 points – their nearest rivals, Bromyard, have 35 points.

Winning all of their matches in this latest SW contest means Pershore are still in the top four seeded teams going into the final of the three Midlands-wide Super Sunday on November 15, when 16 teams from across the whole region compete to decide the overall champions for the Midlands.

Pershore have won both of the Super Sundays so far held this season so top the overall Midlands championship. as well as the SW competition.

Training is at Pershore RFC on Wednesdays at 7.30pm and Sundays at 10.30am.
