EVESHAM’S Rhiannon Donnahey chases high-profile success at the Sainsbury’s 2015 School Games in Manchester from today.
She will compete in the multi-sport event for school-age athletes, representing England Midlands in the rugby sevens.
Donnahey, 18, who attends South Worcestershire College, will follow in the footsteps of some of Britain’s biggest sporting stars.
She will live in the athletes’ village and attend the opening and closing ceremonies. Donnahey, who plays second row for Worcester Under-18s, said: “I am very happy and excited to be competing in the games.
“It’s a great opportunity to showcase my skill as a female rugby player as well as helping to promote the game.”
