WORCESTER Rapids' final NatWest T20 Blast group game against Lancashire Lightning at New Road tomorrow is heading towards another sell-out after Daryl Mitchell's side secured a first ever home quarter-final for the club.

Commercial director Jon Graham is urging supporters to snap up the remaining tickets as soon as possible to avoid the disappointment of missing out on seeing the Rapids attempt to finish top of the North Group.

The Rapids are already guaranteed a top two spot after leaders Birmingham Bears defeated Northamptonshire Steelbacks at Edgbaston last night.

But victory over the Lightning - and a Bears slip-up versus Yorkshire Vikings - could see the Rapids finish in pole position in the nine team table.

It is a massive achievement to secure the home quarter-final clash after four previous last-eight matches away from home in 2004, 2007, 2012 and 2014.

Graham said: "We are already pretty close to be selling out for the Lancashire game.

"I would be very surprised if we are not sold out by mid-day on Friday.

"If you want to get your tickets, it is advisable to do so sooner rather than later.

"We are expecting the same sort of crowd we had against Birmingham which was a sell-out.

"We had a lot of disappointed people which was unfortunate but in a way it shows how far we have come.

"We don't want to disappoint the people who missed out against Birmingham so either get on-line or get on the phone and get your ticket sorted.

"It may well be if you do buy tickets in advance for Lancashire that you will get an element of priority for a home quarter-final ticket.

"It is one of those where we know there is going to be a high demand for tickets for the home quarter-final and we feel it is important that not just the members, but other people who have come to support us and certainly the Lancashire game if they bought a ticket in advance, get an element of priority.

"The details of all that will come out once the final game has finished and we will be looking to go on sale with tickets Sunday July 26.

"We will release all the information on Saturday via email and, because we've got the England Women's ODI on Sunday, we will be open for business and will do some ticket sales on that Sunday."
