Brydon’s a winner at Arden
THE single-handed sailors did battle at Arden with regular crews away competing at Edgbaston Reservoir.
In light winds that bordered on non-existent at their Defford base, David Brydon (Heron) led from start to finish in the pursuit series round followed by Simon Newman (Solo) and Tricia Wood (Comet).
Emma Williams (Laser) won the women’s contest, while the third race to Strensham saw Newman take the victory ahead of Brydon, Keith Stevens (Comet) and Williams.
