LITTLETON lost 3-2 at home to Lichfield City as their poor Midland League Division One run continued.

They topped the league only a few months ago and twice won team of the month but have now slipped below mid-table.

Once again, Littleton were the architects of their own downfall, conceding two goals in the first eight minutes to a cross-shot and finish in the box.

But the hosts settled and got back into the game on 38 minutes when Kyonn Evans cut in to slot past the keeper.

Littleton equalised on 56 minutes with Michael Bulford stabbing home from close range and there looked to be only one winner.

However, while trying to attack, they left gaps at the back and conceded a decisive third goal.

Littleton visit Southam United in the Les James Challenge Cup semi-finals on Saturday and entertain high-flying Bolehall Swifts on Monday (both 3pm).
