EVESHAM will fancy their chances of reaching the RFU Midlands Junior Vase semi-finals.

The Vale outfit visit struggling Yardley and District at Cole Hall Lane on Saturday in the last eight (2pm).

In-form Evesham are third in Midlands Four West (South) and enjoyed a 24-3 home success over Bedford Swifts in the last round.

They hammered Greyhound 80-0 before winning 15-12 at Bishops Castle in the earlier rounds.

Evesham were not in league action last weekend but secured an 18-10 home triumph against Stoke Old Boys in their last outing.

Yardley are eighth in Midlands Four West (North) and suffered a 26-15 home defeat to table-topping Cleobury Mortimer in the league last Saturday.

Meanwhile, fifth-placed Pershore put up a brave fight before slipping to a 23-19 defeat at joint-leaders Woodrush in Midlands Three West (South).

The Vale side are now 14 points adrift of Woodrush and Bedworth.
