THE Cotswold Girls’ Floorball League continued with St Catharines, Shipston, St Davids and Bourton-on-the-Water separated by just two points at the top of qualifying.

The other three sides have a game in hand over Shipston and five other teams will join the fray on Tuesday for a second round group of matches.

Bourton-on-the-Water maintained their title defence by beating Temple Guiting 4-0, via Marsha May Townsend (2) and Lottie Oliver (2).

They drew 0-0 with Shipston, who also held St Catharines 1-1, with Antonia Fairbourne levelling after Emily Curtis opened the scoring.

Fairbourne recorded scored all the goals in 2-0 wins over Dormer House and Temple Guiting.

But Shipston fell 2-1 to St Davids with Amy Dunsbee replying to goals from Megan Jones and Jasmine Chamberlaine.

A Jones treble helped St Davids to a 3-0 win over Temple Guiting, who lost 2-0 to St Catharines with Teresa Doran and Emily Curtis netting.

Temple Guiting beat Dormer House 1-0, with Niamh Brookes on target.
