EVESHAM swimmers secured 24 medals and six county qualifying times at the Hereford open meet.

Seventeen members recorded more than 46 personal bests in 79 swims under new head coach Adrian Mayhew.

Daniel Goodall, nine, in just his second open meet, won a gold medal with a county qualifying time of 40.55 seconds in the 50m freestyle alongside setting two PBs.

Other golds were achieved by Heather Castle, 11, in the 200m backstroke, 100m freestyle and 200m freestyle.

Silvers went to Ollie Foster, 10, in the 50m butterfly, 100m backstroke and 200m individual medley, Benjamin McKenna, 12, in the 50m and 100m butterfly and Mollie Cresswell, 10, in the 100m and 50m butterfly.

Harry Ward, 11, was second in the 200m backstroke and achieved a county time of three minutes 5.57 seconds.

Bronze medals were won by Cresswell in the 200m and 100m breaststroke, with a county qualifying time of 1.47.61, 200m freestyle, 200m butterfly and 200m individual medley.

Sam Parker, 10, was third in the 200m breaststroke, as was McKenna in the 200m breaststroke, Castle in the 200m individual medley and Ward in the 100m freestyle with a county time of 1.17.95.

Amber Cape, Elysia Henly, Isabelle Hornblow, Rebecca Brown, Martha Bailey, Zara McKenna, Georgie Banton, Jacob Goodall, Ben Harris and Lydia Castle also impressing with nearly all achieving at least one PB.
